Poppin’ Bottles? Pop the Trunk of This Tricked-Out Rolls

Finally: A luxury car with a built-in champagne bar and D.J. booth

This may be our new favorite auto-creation: Dutch designer Stef van der Bijl turned this 1977 Rolls-Royce into a party on wheels. When its “wings” are folded up, the Lady of Luxury could pass for a normal vintage luxury car, but inside the trunk, there are five hidden amplifiers and a D.J. booth. As if that couldn’t create enough noise, there are also waterproof subwoofers underneath and in the nose of the vehicle that work even while the car is driving. Complete with 21 champagne coolers, 100 toasting flutes, and 60 liters of extra refrigeration, van der Bijls’ Lady of Luxury has partied from Dubai to Amsterdam. And, yes, barring any open containers of alcohol, it is roadlegal.

This Gatsby-worthy Rolls was recently listed on 1stdibs.com for over $100,000. Someone must have put a bid on the champagne-mobile, because it is now “on hold.” (P.S. If that someone is looking for extra friends, we know a volunteer or six.)
