14 Beautiful Cars at the Detroit Auto Show

The weather was frightful but the vehicles were delightful

It was snowing about about 20 degrees during the first week of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Regardless, the mood was mostly upbeat thanks to last year’s 5.7 percent jump in domestic auto sales.

Even though Nissan had its self-driving, electronic IDS on display, they hyped their new Titan Warrior truck, which looked like a slick Transformer that could take on Michigan’s icy roads with ease. Another modern, eco-friendly beauty was Toyota’s FCV Plus, a hydrogen concept that looks straight out of Total Recall. Other head-turners included the gorgeous, $100K Lexus LC 500 coupe, and the sleek Avista; definitely not your dad’s Buick.
