There’s a Speakeasy Hidden Behind a Neon “Psychic” Sign in WeHo

Employees Only channels ’70s glam
368

Duck past a velvet curtain into a WeHo storefront marked with a neon PSYCHIC sign to enter Employees Only, a glam ’70s-ish speakeasy helmed by acclaimed bartender Dushan Zaric. The newest location of a budding empire (there are EO outlets in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Miami), the up-tempo spot sports mahogany trim and leather booths along with straightforward cocktails crafted by designated “principal bartenders” in white chef’s coats.

The Scene

A young Burt Reynolds wouldn’t look out of place in the corkceilinged dining room during dinner.

The Drinks

Go for classics with a twist, like a Manhattan mellowed with Grand Marnier, or the gimlet-esque Hope Monkey: Spanish gin, clarified lime cordial, and nose-tickling absinthe bitters.

Employees Only, 7953 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood
