Are you a student looking for some experience working at an award-winning magazine such as ours? We’re currently accepting applications for a Food Writing internship to help with periodic writing/blogging and other general editorial tasks. (No, we won’t make you fetch coffee. But you’re a champ if you volunteer to!) It’s a great way to see the ins and outs of running a monthly publication and potentially get some clips under your belt.
The catch? You have to be a currently enrolled student. And you never know where it might take you… heck, down the road, you may even be able parlay your internship into something way cool, like becoming the Associate Digest Editor. (Ask me how I know.)

Our friends over at the L.A. Weekly are also on the hunt for a part-time food blogger. Per their post, they’re looking for a “stylish writer capable of accurate reporting, astute observation and, yes, the occasional striking photo. The ability to generate multiple story ideas each day is important, as is knowledge of food in general and the L.A. dining scene in particular.”
They estimate that your blogging duties will add up to around 25 hours a week, but “it’s salaried, and it also includes full benefits, including vacation, sick pay and an expense account.” [Squid Ink]
