The time has come to splurge. Starting today, June 1, tickets go on sale for THE TASTE, a four-day food and wine festival crafted by the Los Angeles Times and Food & Wine magazine. Taking place over Labor Day weekend (September 2-5), nine distinct events will be held in three neighborhoods—Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and Downtown. The festival’s main attraction will be the culinary masterpieces devised by some of L.A.’s finest restaurants including Hatfield’s, Bazaar by Jose Andres, Public Kitchen, Craft, Lawry’s, Fraiche, Bouchon, Loteria Grill, Bastide, Church & State, The Foundry on Melrose, and Mezze.
Also on the menu of epicurean events will be an evening of creative burgers and beers; cooking demos and panel discussions by world renowned chefs; lessons in drink-making from well-known mixologists; the chance to enjoy food, cocktails, and couture while strolling down Rodeo drive; and a Labor Day Picnic in the Hills, hosted by Food Network’s Giada De Laurentiis. Other gastronomical stars expected to make an appearance include chef Ray Garcia (FIG), chef Roy Choi (A-Frame), actress Debi Mazar, chef Scott Conant (Scarpetta), and Food Network personality Claire Robinson. Individual event tickets cost between $125-$150, with themed packages ranging from $275-$800.
