This Is Why We’re Still Fat (Or, What Was Consumed at the O.C. Fair)

The Orange County Fair wrapped up yesterday after a fun-filled 23 nights of creaky carnival rides, games with non-copyrighted stuffed animal prizes, grown men in tank tops, and the foods that go with it! How much food? The Fair released its stats today and the results prove once and for all why that bathing suit bod never quite happened this year.

Heres what the 1.3 million fairgoers consumed:

3,900 17-inch Big Ribs
7,500 bacon-wrapped turkey legs
9,000 deep-fried PB&Js
10,000 pineapples (why is this even on this list?)
60,000 turkey legs
100,000 pieces chocolate-covered bacon

The good news? The L.A. County Fair starts August 31! C’mon Los Angeles, we can do better than those O.C. lightweights! (And by better, we mean capable of cramming at least 10,000 more pieces of bacon into our faces.) The time is now!
