In between belting out a few of your favorite things and wondering how you solve a problem like that incorrigible Maria, you could be munching on pretzels and brats. At least if you’re doing all this singing at the Hollywood Bowl, that is. The venue’s annual summer concert series will include Patina Restaurant Group’s special themed menu items for some of performances this year.
The fun starts Saturday, June 26, with The Sound of Music sing-a-long, which can be paired with “Hills are Alive” and “Doe Re Me” bratwursts along with regular or stuffed Bavarian pretzels. Smokey Robinson’s performance will be complemented by such “smokey” offerings as baby-back ribs with jalapeno cornbread from Joe’s BBQ and smoker pop-up tent while Harry Connick Jr. concert-goers can enjoy New Orleans specialties, like hushpuppies and gumbo.
Drinks and desserts will also be themed—a “What’s in a Name” rose water soju cocktail will be available for Romeo & Juliet, and Bugs Bunny at the Symphony means carrot cake, natch.
