Congratulations are in order for the Spice Table’s Bryant Ng who has been named one of Food & Wine magazine’s Best New Chefs for 2012. The news came today after a number of twitter hints from the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Dana Cowin.
We asked the downtown chef say a few words. (Speech! Speeeeech!) Here’s what he had to say:
“Yup it’s true. I’ve been named one of Food & Wine Magazine’s 2012 Best New Chef. It’s a great honor to be recognized among my peers with Food & Wine’s Best New Chef title given to the country’s most promising up-and-coming talents. But beyond my own recognition, this award is a testament to the people who work hard everyday at The Spice Table. Without their commitment and dedication The Spice Table would not exist and neither would the term Best New Chef. It is on the shoulders of our employees that Chefs are able to run their restaurants and to them I am grateful. I want to thank you for your support throughout The Spice Table’s first year of business.”
No Bryant, thank YOU.
