After several (expected) delays, The Doughroom opens tomorrow on Overland, near Palms. It’s a new project from Santa Monica Pizza Kitchen’s Kaveh Karimi, who describes it as a New American restaurant, though the menu seems to be aiming for a comfortable sort of Italian, with flare.
Chef Eddie Hah (8 oz. Burger Bar) is, naturally, fixed on the dough. The menu focuses in on pizza, house-made pasta, and comfort plates like meatballs marinara. With about 60 seats indoors and out, The Doughroom seems like it could reawaken this sleepy section of Palms.
Open tomorrow, July 10, for dinner, The Doughroom will eventually be open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and offer a weekend brunch.
