They may not give our chefs any awards
, but that doesn’t mean the folks at the James Beard Foundation don’t want to taste what our fair city has to offer. Tonight at Manhattan’s famed James Beard House, the featured chef de jour will be L.A.’s own Casey Lane of The Tasting Kitchen, the popular Venice eatery whose fans include Jonathan Gold and Alan Richman of GQ—and us!
If you’re able to jet across the country in the next few hours in time to dine on mackerel crudo, handmade strozzapreti and pork coppa confit, we’d highly recommend it. Or you can wait ‘till he comes home and try Lane’s market-fresh creations any ol’ time.
