The Macallan Whisky Tastings at Wolfgang Puck — 11/7
Wolfgang Puck is partnering with The Macallan this month for a series of whisky tasting classes hosted by Macallan brand ambassador Kieron Elliot at Hotel Bel Air. Each 90-minute class will walk guests through the company’s history of Scotch whisky production. Featured samples (the important part) include Macallan’s 12, 15, 17, 18, and 21-year oak barrel-aged whiskies. $85 per person. More information.

‘Get Your Phil’ Dinner and Concert at Le Ka —  11/8
Enjoy an evening of brass and bass at the L.A. Philharmonic’s “Get Your Phil” dinner and concert program. On select evenings in November and December, guests can bundle special dinners and performances at Walt Disney Concert Hall for a discounted price. This weekend’s agenda? Wild bass, hanger steak, or jidori chicken at Le Ka, followed by Shostakovich’s Fifth Symphony. More information.

The last time the Ramen Burger came to L.A., a thousand people waited in line for a taste of a beef patty wrapped in toasted noodles. This time, be one of 500 to snag a taste of the infamous mash-up by Keizo Shimamoto at Mitsuwa in Torrance. Wristbands with line times will be distributed at 9 a.m. The early bird gets the burger. Mélisse Hosts Bocuse d’Or Benefit  — 11/10
There are only a few seats left for chef Josiah Citrin’s Bocuse d’Or dinner. Joining Citrin at Mélisse are chefs Trey Foshee (George’s at the Cove, San Diego), Gavin Kaysen (Cafe Boulud, New York City), Michael Cimarusti (Providence, Connie & Ted’s, Los Angeles), Traci Des Jardins (Jardiniere, San Francisco), and Michael Tusk (Quince, San Francisco).
