Take-Out Tip of the Day: Celebrate Prime Rib Day with Tam O’Shanter To Go

A daily dining idea when you can only eat in

It’s National Prime Rib Day, which we wouldn’t typically celebrate, but hey it’s a nice excuse to order takeout. And, also, it’s under 90 degrees today, so it’s totally prime rib weather. Lawry’s the Prime Rib is closed Mondays, but its sister restaurant the Tam O’Shanter is open for curbside pickup and delivery and serving up plates of prime rib, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, gravy, and au jus for $45.

If not everyone in your household is looking for such a hearty meal, there are also sandwiches, salads, and numerous other options. Or go big for the whole family and order a prime rib meal for five to seven people for $300. Bonus, wines are 50 percent off.
