Take-Out Tip of the Day: Hand Rolls to Go at Sōgo Roll Bar

A daily dining idea when you can only eat in
171

Feeling like you’ve sought a bit too much comfort in pasta in recent weeks? Perhaps it’s time for some sushi takeout. Handily, Sōgo Roll Bar, the excellent new hand roll bar in Hollywood, whose owners include some of the guys behind the acclaimed Sushi Note in Sherman Oaks, recently reopened for takeout and delivery. You can get cut versions of their great hand rolls, like salmon with yuzu and albacore kari kari—a divine combo of brandy-soaked albacore, garlic, and ginger.

And, speaking of Sushi Note, it’s now also offering takeout. You can order a la carte—don’t miss the gravlax sushi—or go for the Half Note sampler. The $45 combo includes edamame and shishito peppers, eight pieces of sushi, and a tuna cut roll.
