Take-Out Tip of the Day: Breakfast Boxes and Baguettes from Republique

A daily dining idea when you can only eat in

Thankfully, Margarita Manzke’s pastry case lives on in the era of social distancing.

Republique is offering a limited menu for pickup via Tock and Postmates. You can grab one of the restaurant’s excellent baguettes with Normandy butter or opt for numerous other carby delights on offer, from croissants to apple danishes and cinnamon sugar donuts.

There are also boxes filled with specialty items hand selected by Margarita and her husband and business partner Walter Manzke. The $93 breakfast box comes with Neuske’s bacon, Straus Family Creamery yogurt, house-made granola and jams, Lamill coffee, eggs, pastries, and various citrus fruits. Grocery items can also be ordered a la carte, and the selection is extensive, from Thao Farms sugar snap peas and Di Stefano burrata cheese to organic rye flour medjool dates. And, there’s wine, beer and bottles of spirits aplenty. Stock up.
