Take-Out Tip of the Day: Take-and-Bake Meals at Akasha

A daily dining idea when you can only eat in
642

Akasha Richmond and Alan Schulman have been serving up classic California cuisine at their Culver City spot since 2008. For the time being, they’ve scrapped the regular menu in favor of a menu of comforting dishes you can pick up there and then cook at home or freeze for dinner in a pinch in the near future. They’re also offering free delivery within a two-mile radius.

The take-and-bake offerings on the current menu—they’re changing offerings based on what’s available at the farmers’ market—features a turkey pot pie for one, roman pizza for two, and skillet mac and cheese for as many as three. They’ve also got soups, salads, snacks, and sweets, plus meals you don’t have to bake yourself, like enchiladas and chicken parm.

Keep an eye on their Instagram for the latest menu, and order 24 hours in advance (if possible) either by phone (310-845-1700) or email (catering@akasharestaurant.com).
