The International Association of Culinary Professionals hosted its annual media awards event in Chicago this past Saturday. In addition to book signings and star sightings, the IACP honored this year’s best in food writing, journalism, photography, and design.
Suzanne Goin took home top honors in the Chefs and Restaurants category for The A.O.C. Cookbook. Santa Monica local Anne Willan won the award for best Literary Food Writing for her memoir, One Souffle at a Time.
Though he contributes to national publications, Hugh Garvey calls L.A. home. He earned top honors in the Culinary Based Column category for his Playboy Food Column.
Local finalists included Mad Hungry Cravings by the OC’s Mad Hungry Woman, Lucinda Scala Quinn.
