FIRST LOOK: Studio City Gets a Restaurant with a Taco Bus

The menu at Ceremony, opening this month, riffs on classic Mexican food

It won’t be hard for Ceremony, the new taco spot and bar opening later this month from restaurateur Frank Leon (La Loggia Italian Bistro and The Village), to stand out on Studio City’s Ventura Boulevard. This will be the place with the restored 1969 Volkswagen Kombi bus parked on the patio, used as a taco stand and a place for Cuban sandwiches. (Leon, who opened La Loggia in 1986, was inspired by the recent film Chef.)

The menu will riff on classic Mexican dishes–think crispy tuna tacos, and chicken enchiladas with panela cheese and red and green sauces–and offer a slew of vegetarian options like black bean and queso tacos, as well as cocktails from The Village head mixologist Matty Taylor that incorporate mezcal, tequila, and fresh tropical fruits.

Here’s a first look at the food menu.
