His wasn’t as crazy as the sentient-Furby-doll-on-a-coke-bender known as Snookie. He didn’t tell it like it was like JWoww. Even if he tried, he could never beat up a beat quite like DJ Pauly D. Both Ron and Sammi dwarfed his ability to turn nothingness into explosive premium cable drama.
But Vinny Guadagnino, the sixth most interesting cast member from Jersey Shore, has something that none of the others do: a food truck. Apparently. Which is how he ended up on the current season of Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race. I don’t know, it’s all really confusing.
This season is all about families who have never owned a food truck before—I think—and they’re competing to…. win a bunch of money? Or get their own Food Network show? Or, like, win a year’s worth of free gas or something? Who knows. The important thing is, you get to watch a Jersey Shore alum fry chicken parm and make tortilla pizzas in a truck while his mom, Paola, criticizes him for getting distracted by women and endearingly shoots down 90 percent of the things he says. No matter who you are, that’s fantastic TV.
Vinny has been trying to get his mom on the Food Network at least since he tweeted this three years ago:

And it looks like he finally used his platform for good. We’re all rooting for you, Vin. Season 7 of The Great Food Truck race airs every Sunday at 9 p.m.
