Their gooey, chocolate-hazelnut torte currently graces the cover of our January Best New Restaurants issue (above!), and for a limited time you can try their culinary handiwork at Santa Monica’s Barker Hanger. Starting Thursday, Silver Lake’s Forage café will be operating a three-day pop-up restaurant as part of the second annual Art Los Angeles Contemporary art fair. The fleeting version of Forage will serve chef Jason Kim’s homey vegetarian and carnivorous dishes, plus some of Gina Koo’s outrageous desserts. Will they bring the brisket polenta lasagna that rocked our world last winter or the pork belly sandwich we killed last week? (Or that darn tasty torte above?) For the Westside’s sake, we hope so.
“Forage is about celebrating what’s good to eat right now, and Art Los Angeles Contemporary is about celebrating art that’s now,” said Kim in a release. “We are looking forward to making the fair a place where good food and exciting contemporary art meet.”
The Art Los Angeles Contemporary runs this Thursday through Sunday. Single day admission is $18. Find tickets and more info at http://www.artlosangelesfair.com/
