To celebrate the February issue of Los Angeles magazine, we invite you to join us for a night of craft cocktails, gourmet bites, and clandestine revelry at Hollywood’s Butchers & Barbers.

The Houston Brothers’ cocktail lounge and restaurant earned three stars from LAmag restaurant critic Patric Kuh, who raved about chef Luke Reyes’s ability to “make animal protein shine” and boozy creations like “the Ol’ Grandad, a wickedly seductive blend of scotch, cinnamon-infused vermouth, and a dash of maple syrup lapping at an oversize ice cube.”

From 7 to 9 p.m. on February 25, a $40 ticket entitles you to two Butchers’ & Barbers signature cocktails and a hearty spread of hors d’oeuvres by chef Reyes (ahem, roasted lamb ribs with honey and salsa verde and foie gras mousse on toasted house-made brioche with blood orange and fennel). Then, with your buzz on and belly full, take an exclusive tour of the Houston Brothers’ sexy, password-required underground speakeasy, Dirty Laundry, which captures the covert spirit of our February issue cover story, “Secret L.A.”

Also drinking in the fun (and a few of those Ol’ Grandads) will be Los Angeles magazine deputy editor and secret-stuff expert, Nancy Miller, along with members of the editorial team behind LAmag’s Digest and Liquid L.A. blogs.
