Sex And the Kitchen: It’s Happening (in L.A. and on Bravo)

This just in: Bravo has announced that they’re developing a new L.A.-based reality show called Sex and the Kitchen. Details are few, but the network says the show  “follows a group of single, successful and beautiful women connected to the restaurant and food industry in Los Angeles as they juggle a world where business always mixes with pleasure.”

 Oh lord.

Let’s not even get started on how far a show like this sets back the reputation of women in the professional world (and from a personal standpoint, the food journalism world), but what does this do to our city’s food scene? Shall L.A. be portrayed as a town full of hard partying folks for whom food is just foreplay? Le sigh…

Among the show’s confirmed stars: Eater LA editor Kat Odell. We shall now spend the remainder of the workday speculating on other cast-members. You can do so too, here, in the comments.

(For the record: Will we watch this? Of course. We’re only human.)
