Third Annual Sunset & Dine, 10/2 Come celebrate the famed intersection of Sunset and Vine with live music curated by Amoeba, drinks, and food. Vendors include Fabiolus Cucina, Shophouse Southeast Asian Kitchen, 33 Taps, Doomie’s Home Cookin’, and Village Pizzeria, among others. “In Hollywood we have a community that passionately enables, empowers and encourages the creative spirit, said Elizabeth McDonald of The Los Angeles Film School. “This is what we celebrate at Sunset & Dine–the unexpected blend of musical, culinary and entertainment styling that make up Hollywood.” The event will be held at the Taglyan Complex.

Cafe Del Rey’s “Permission to Come Aboard” Fishing Expedition10/4 You’ve heard of farm-to-table, but what about sea-to-shore? Executive Chef Chuck Abair (former sous chef at Providence) invites adventurous guests to set sail along the Marinda Del Rey coastline for a fishing trip. Fresh catches of the day will be brought back to the seaside restaurant for an outdoor barbecue-style lunch.

6th Annual Good Food Pie Contest, 9/25
KCRW Good Food host Evan Kleiman is teaming up with seafood guru David LeFevre (Manhattan Beach Post and Fishing with Dynamite) for an annual fundraiser pie demo at the New School of Cooking in Culver City. LeFevre will be cooking up a savory New England Clam Chowder Dumpling Pie, while Kleiman will show off a quick-and-easy recipe filled with jam and cheese. Wine pairings, desserts from Coolhaus, and fresh Stumptown coffee will also be available. Click here to register.

Eveleigh Lieu Dit & Storm Wine Dinner, 9/30
An exclusive dinner at West Hollywood’s Eveleigh with Santa Ynez wineries. Eric Railsback of Lieu Dit and Ernst Storm of Storm Wineries will be pouring wines for this four course family-style meal.
