Sea Fever: Little Fork and Fishing With Dynamite Kick Off Fish Frenzy

We’re only four days into 2013 and already we can smell our first big trend—and it’s fishy. Earlier this week the news broke that Jason Travi, formerly of the now defunct Fraîche, will be opening Little Fork in Hollywood today, serving seafood-focused dishes that salute Travi’s hometown of Boston.

On Thursday the L.A. Times reported that chef Water Grill alum David Lefevre is returning to his seafaring roots to open Fishing with Dynamite (the name has no connection to Lefevre’s sustainability practices) in Manhattan Beach this spring. Throw on the fire Michael Cimarusti’s upcoming Connie and Ted’s, which also has a New England-style seafood theme, the expanding L&E Oyster Bar, and one of the trends forebearers, Son of A Gun, and we’re predicting a whole lot of chowder—sorry, chowdah—in our future.
