Schnitzel and Steigl on Display at the Getty Center

Viennese modernist painter Gustav Klimt would have turned 150 this Saturday (the guy doesn’t look a day over 138). The Getty Center restaurant is celebrating the occasion—as well as the museum’s Gustav Klimt: The Magic of Line exhibition on display through September—with a menu worthy of the Austrian master. Gaze upon the epic vista while dining on Niman ranch pork schnitzel topped with an arugula honey-mustard salad, Yukon Gold whipped potatoes, and braised escarole. Or pretend the Santa Monica Mountains are the alps while nursing a flight of Austrian beers like Steigl Golden Beer, StieglWeisse, Dunkel, Doppelbock, and more for just $7. The Euro-specials will be available ‘till September 23. Prost!
