Santa Anita Park Hosts a California Wine Festival — 1/25
More than 40 wineries will gather at Santa Anita Park for the California Wine Festival at the Sunshine Millions California Cup. In addition to sampling vintages from wineries like Cartlidge & Browne, Chamisal, Cline Cellars, Clos Pegase, Forefront, and Zaca Mesa, patrons will be able to purchase bottles at the event. Norman Van Aken’s Prix-Fixe Lunch at Son of a Gun — 1/28
Chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo have invited the found father of New World cuisine, Norman Van Aken, to cook a prix-fixe lunch at Son of a Gun. The festive lunch starts with a selection of snacks followed by three courses: a Vietnamese soft spring roll; smothered pork chop adobo with onions and oranges; and pineapple-mango ice cream.
