Too Pretty to Eat: A Photo Tour of Love & Salt

Get a sneak peek of Patric Kuh’s March review

In our March issue, restaurant critic Patrick Kuh heads to the space that once housed Cafe Pierre in Manhattan Beach and finds a dramatically different restaurant: Love & Salt, chef Michael Fiorelli’s Italian-influenced but clearly California neighborhood spot. Fiorelli uses both seasonal produce and nose-to-tail cooking to create a 2015 version of a balanced meal: colorful salads, charcuterie, a pasta with bone marrow on the side, a mortadella hot dog, a corned lamb tongue panini. Do Fiorelli’s food and chef de cuisine’s Rebecca Merhej’s desserts mean you can expect to have a (beach) ball at Love & Salt? You’ll have to check out the review–on newsstands now–to find out!
