For those who have that cherished bottle of red hanging in the cellar for a special occasion, Pinot Bistro is offering “Bring Your Own Bottle” dinners offering a customized menu built around whatever wine diners choose to bring. Here’s how it works: Call at least three days in advance and provide the vintage or variety of your desired wine, the number of diners in the party, and the preferred number of courses. Pinot Bistro Chef Steven Mary will then create a menu that is meant to highlight your bottle. It’s the no-corkage fee policy taken to the next level; just make sure to bring a worthwhile wine, lest the kitchen staff chuckle at your naiveté (though we wonder what menu they would come up with for a box of Franzia) Three to five course dinners range from $39 to $54 per person.
