Palm Springs’ Ace Hotel Brings Brooklyn to the Desert for Coachella

The pop-up festivities includes the Five Leaves Burger, cocktails, Moon Juice, DJs, and lots more

Ace Hotels are always scenester destinations, but the combo of Brooklyn meeting Coachella the next couple weeks could be as over-the-top as anything the bi-coastal Vice-reading, Undefeated-shopping, Broad City-watching throngs have encountered.

During both Coachella weeks, the nearby Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs will feature a poolside pop-up from Brooklyn restaurant Five Leaves, which will serve breakfast burritos in the morning, tacos for lunch, and a 24-hour menu including the signature Five Leaves burger. There will also, of course, be cocktails, beer, wine, and juices and detox-before-you-retox concoctions from Moon Juice.

It’s all part of the Ace’s seventh annual Desert Gold “feast of sight and sound and sun worship,” which starts Thursday and also features songs broadcast by Dublab, DJs from The Do-Over, street artist MOMO’s Commune Wall Mural, and part of Amoeba Records’ vast music collection.

You can see the full schedule of events and RSVP online.

Palm Springs visitors can also enjoy a more low-key taste of Brooklyn after Coachella ends, because Five Leaves owner Jud Mongell and chef/partner Ken Addington have taken over the hotel’s King’s Highway restaurant and Amigo Room bar. Mongell and Addington also run the L.A. Chapter restaurant at Downtown L.A.’s Ace Hotel.
