You might have guessed that a chef who serves chicken-fried duck confit and mussel-and-chorizo poutine for dinner wouldn’t make ordinary pancakes and omelets for brunch.
Chef Brad Miller is launching brunch service at Santa Monica’s Ox & Son on Saturday with dishes like chocolate bacon bourbon pancakes and a kimchi white cheddar omelet. Fans of the chicken-fried duck confit can get it in sandwich form at brunch, and, like at dinner, there are a selection of oysters. The brunch menu also features a burger with raclette cheese and pickled onions, and the Ox & Son Benedict with shaved Benton’s ham. Drinks include blood orange mimosas and grapefruit sangria.
Brunch runs from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
