When it comes to sushi, it’s not always easy to stick local. Niki Nakayama, chef and owner of Culver City’s omakase spot n/naka, is now making sure at least the flora on her plates come from close to home—really close. n/naka has partnered with Farmscape Gardens, a Los Feliz-based organization, to develop its own small-scale, organic garden. With more than 130 square feet of planting space, Nakayama is able to incorporate homegrown produce into her Omakase tasting menu—if that’s not local, we don’t know what is.
