From a food truck’s fine-dining foray to a hip drinking den in Los Feliz, here are some restaurants you have to try this month.

All Day Baby

Jonathan Whitener’s highly anticipated follow-up to Here’s Looking at You just opened on a bustling corner in Silver Lake. Breakfast, served all day, ranges from a smoked whitefish plate to country fried steak. As the day progresses, there are sandwiches, smoked meats, queso, salads, entrées like braised mussels toast with chorizo, a full bar, and an extensive selection of sweet offerings from pastry director Thessa Diadem. 3200 W. Sunset Blvd., Silver Lake.

Pinky’s

The former Skylight Theatre rehearsal space has been transformed into a stylish drinking den. The tightly edited menu features cocktails, wine, beer, tacos, and intriguing shot combos—mescal and Cynar, rye and Montenegro—that bring an unexpected touch of sophistication to downing straight booze. 1816B N. Vermont Ave., Los Feliz.

Piccalilli

The team behind the popular Mad Pambazos food truck has opened a fine-dining spot. The menu showcases influences from Asia, the Low Country, and California, with dishes such as Thai banana hush puppies, miso pork jowl, and coffee date cake with caramelized figs and espresso ice cream. 3850 Main St., Ste. A, Culver City.
