Thanks a lot, Beer Belly, for sending us pictures of your awesome-looking new menu items while we’re eating last night’s leftovers for lunch—at our desk. The pic that had us letting out a guttural noise? That’d be the beer- and chipotle-braised short rib sandwich served on cheddar puff pastry. Like, instead of bread. There’s that noise again.
Among the other new dishes that gave our own lunch an inferiority complex? Pork bratwurst meatballs with spicy apple beer mustard, crispy pork belly chips with sweet onion sugar Tabasco aoli (seriously, stop it), and pork roll sliders with beer-belly slaw, housemade pickles, and American cheese. Because we’re Americans—and it’s almost the 4th of July.
Now, back to our leftovers.
