100 Customers Will Get a Year of Free Burgers at Meat District Co.

The new Pasadena restaurant is giving out a entire year’s worth of free burgers to celebrate its opening

We were already excited when we first heard about the arrival of Meat District Co. in Pasadena. Billed as a veritable meat temple, Meat District Co., we learned, would be stocked with in-house butchers and a roster of affordable, high-quality steaks and other protein items, including burgers and meat skewers served on hooks. Eighteen bucks for a sirloin, dry-aged in-house? Why, surely.

Meat District Co. is making an even bigger statement with its latest promotion by giving out free burgers (!) to select customers as part of a loyalty program. The first 100 customers to walk through its doors on September 9 become members of The Cleaver Club and are entitled to one free burger for each week of the entire year. Hallelujah! Customers will receive a rewards card (one per family) that will also give them special discounts and priority access to events.

“We thought, what better way to welcome our new customers than with a substantial promotion,” said Meat District Co. General Manager Fallon Gomesz, who was the mastermind behind the idea. Make sure to give him a pat on the back when you see him.

Rewards members can choose any burger from their list, which means this isn’t the type of deal that will leave you disappointed with a half-hearted, skimpy offering. These are ½ pound hormone, steroid, and antibiotic free beef patties. In other words, feel free to indulge yourself with a truffle burger, topped with truffle parmesan and aioli. Turkey burgers with cranberry bacon jam and chicken burgers with almond flakes and fennel are available for the taking too, unless you’re more inclined for the sea variety: battered soft shell crab, spicy shrimp cocktail mix, or house-baked Atlantic salmon can be added on top, too.
