Surprise, surprise. Two big-name chefs are coming to town in the coming weeks, and they’re here to hang out with—you guessed it—two other big-name chefs. Be sure to mark your calendars for these exciting cookbook meet and greets.

Yotam Ottolenghi at Joan’s on Third, Oct. 23rd
Acclaimed Israeli chef Yotam Ottolenghi, who just released his stunningly gorgeous new cookbook Plenty More: Vibrant Vegetable Cooking from London’s Ottolenghi, will be stopping by the original location of Joan’s on Third in West L.A. for an informal book signing on Thursday, October 23 starting at 11:45 a.m. If the idea of sharing a chopped salad while listening to seasoned veterans like Joan and Yotam talk shop doesn’t make your head spin a little bit, we don’t really know what to tell you.

George Mendes at Trois Mec, Nov. 2
A chef with a resume as long and illustrious as Ludo Lefebvre’s always has some great stories to tell about their co-workers—no matter how famous they’ve gotten. George Mendes, the decorated NYC chef behind Portugal-inspired restaurant Aldea and author of the new cookbook My Portugal: Recipes and Stories, worked alongside Ludo under Alain Passard in 1993. On November 2, the duo will hosting a special book dinner at Trois Mec that will pay homage to Mendes’ cultural and culinary roots. Tickets look to be currently sold out, but follow @ChefLudo for any upcoming openings.
