This morning, the foundation that bestows the prizes announced the list of semifinalists up for categories including Best New Restaurant, Outstanding Wine Program, and Best Chef. There are plenty of Los Angeles-area favorites on the semifinalists list (including commanding a full 40 percent of the Best Chef noms for the entire Western region), which will next be winnowed down to final nominees announced at a March 14 ceremony, with the awards themselves handed out on May 7.
