Chicago-based coffee company Intelligentsia has been in L.A. for a year now, and to celebrate the Silver Lake shop is hosting a little shindig on Friday night. From 6-10 p.m. they’ll be pulling shots of Black Cat Espresso, pouring cups of their newest roasts (Slecha Roja from Costa Rica, Itzamna from Guatemala, and an auction lot from Kenya), and dolling out plenty of wine (courtesy of Silverlake Wine) and cheese (from the Cheese Store of Silverlake next door). Oh, did I mention it’s all free, and set to the musical stylin’s of DJ Neighthousand? Well, that’s true too.
This should make for a busy weekend for the coffee shop, which is front and center for the 28th annual Sunset Junction festival taking place all weekend. Look for me munching a huge brat during Beachwood Sparks.
