Hurricane Sandy Relief: Cupcakes, Burgers, Beer, and Poutine

Los Angeles restaurants are stepping up to help our East Coast brethren and sistren who were affected by the ravages of Hurricane Sandy. Wanna do your part? Here’s the scoop we’ve gotten from around town, but if you know of another benefit, please do leave it in the comments section!

Sprinkles Cupcakes will be donating 100% of the proceeds from their red velvet cupcakes (adorned with red crosses) to the Red Cross’ Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund. » 9635 S Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills

Library Alehouse in Santa Monica is donating 15% of their day’s sales to relief aid. And just to sweeten the pot, they’re hosting a special event that night with Belgian beer importer Vanberg & DeWulf, offering five different beer and poutine pairings. » 2911 Main St., Santa Monica

All week:
San Diego import Burger Lounge will donate 100% of proceeds from their Los Angeles locations now through the end of Sunday, November 18. » 281 S. Beverly Dr., Beverly Hills, and 8539 W Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood

If you’re unable to swing by any of these wunderbar fundraisers, you can still make a donation to the American Red Cross online, or you can call 1-800-RED-CROSS. Texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 will also allow you to make a $10 donation. For those still kickin’ it old school with snail mail, contributions may be sent to your local Red Cross chapter, or to: American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013.
