Giving away goodies during a restaurant’s opening isn’t uncommon, but the new Mendocino Farms in Westlake Village is feeling especially frisky with a week’s worth of freebies and fun.
The ninth location of the popular sandwich shop, which serves crowd-pleasing favorites like a Kurobuta pork belly banh mi, steak BLT, and ham and gruyere grilled cheese, will open its doors in the Westlake Plaza shopping center at 11 a.m. next Monday, February 2. The first 250 guests at Monday’s grand opening get a Mendocino Farms tote bag filled with assorted swag. But deal-hunters might be just as tickled about next Friday’s 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Social Hour, when the restaurant will serve free appetizers and $1 beer and wine.
Mendocino Farms, which is giving away a free cookie with the purchase of any sandwich next Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., also wants to make it clear that it’s a kid-friendly restaurant (there’s a coloring table and seasonal lemonade, for starters). So the week of promotions ends Sunday, February 8, with a Family Fun Festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. where kids eat free and can enjoy a child-friendly DJ, arts and crafts, a balloon artist and face painting. RSVP online to guarantee you and your family a spot.
