With summer just around the corner, sipping a cold, hard-to-find brew and devouring a big juicy steak sounds just about right. George Abou-Dauod hopes to sate our warm weather cravings with his latest addition to Bowery Street Enterprises (which already includes The Bowery, Delancey Bar & Pizzeria, The Mission Cantina, Tamarind Ave. Deli, District, and The Mercantile Wine Bar): Rosewood Tavern. Opening on Fairfax sometime next week, Rosewood will quell our desire for booze and meat with 28 craft beers, an extensive list of Scotch and Irish whiskeys, and a protein-heavy menu. (Think steaks, chops, spiced chicken wings, and saucy beef dip sandwiches.) And true to its name, Abou-Daoud says the new spot will strive for a rustic, neighborhood tavern-y feel. Yes, in Hollywood.
