Food App Attack

Four new apps to make your life more delicious:

First up, Chefs Feed is out with its second edition, with even more local restaurant suggestions from renowned chefs like Craig Thornton (Wolvesmouth), Andrew Kirschner (Tar 7 Roses), Bryant Ng (the Spice Table), even Jitlada’s Jazz Singsanong. It’s more visual than ever, with bigger dish pictures and easier navigation. Our own Senior Editor Elina Shakin helped put the thing together, to boot! (Free)

Second, we couldn’t be happier about the debut app from L.A.’s own cocktail blogger extraordinaire, Caroline on Crack. The Drink Here LA app lets you seek out top bars near you, get drink suggestions from On Crack herself, and even see whole bar cocktail menus. Save your favorites for a customized list of the city’s best spots to get your booze on. ($1.99)

Thirdly, if you’re still thirsty Wine Spectator has released a new WineRatings+ app that lets you explore vintage charts covering 55 of the world’s wine regions and grape varietals, customize search by price, sore, producer, and more, or tell all your friends how much you know about wine by sharing favorite bottles via Facebook and twitter (god, please don’t). ($2.99)

And last but certainly not least, did we mention Los Angeles magazine now has its own Dining Out app? Search nearly 1,000 rated restaurants near you, check out our critic’s favorites, get mobile access to our trustworthy guides covering everything from the city’s best Mexican food to new bars worth haunting. The best part? It’s free!
