For the past year, The Strand House in Manhattan Beach has been hosting in- and out-of-town chefs for a recurring dinner series they’re calling “Culinary Masters.” The French Laundry’s Timothy Hollingsworth, Alain Giraud, and Nancy Silverton have all held court at the seaside restaurant.
This upcoming Monday, June 17, Chicago-based chef Rick Tramonto joins The Strand House’s consulting chef Neal Fraser and executive chef Greg Hozinsky to prepare a five-course menu with wine pairings from Napa Valley’s Trefethen winery. Dishes include burrata and caviar, roasted cod with clams and garbanzos, and braised short ribs with rutabaga puree. $100 per person gets diners the dinner; wine pairings are an additional $50 per person.
