What: Heirloom L.A. is doing it again. They’re opening their Salon to the public this Friday night for a feast to celebrate the work of Cook Pigs Ranch.
Located in Julian, Calif. just about two and a half hours from L.A., Cook Pigs Ranch raises their pigs in a truly humane environment. In fact, they seem to have a pretty cushy life: their diet consists of avocados, macadamia nuts, tortilla scraps, and apple pie(!). Looks to us like the pigs are as happy as clams.
To educate the curious consumer on humane animal husbandry, Heirloom is hosting a four course dinner and discussion at their salon in Eagle Rock. Attend to learn more about Cook Pigs Ranch and what they do for their pigs and the environment—and, what it means for you, the careful carnivore.

How: $85 per person includes talk, discussion, and a family-style dinner. Reservations must be made in advance.
