Eating Red


Twenty years ago modern-Latin master chef John Sedlar was invited to cook for the military elite of the former U.S.S.R. and march in Red Square to celebrate pere-stroika. Now you, too, can eat like Gorbachev. This month at Rivera, Sedlar revives the Commie-inspired menu he served at his now-defunct Bikini following his Soviet adventure. Savor caviar, Beef Stroganoff Romanoff, and Chocolate Eggs Fabergé. Sadly, there’s no red herring.
