Wagyu Week at Katana — 3/5-9
There’s nothing quite as refined in the meat world as a slice of A-5 grade Japanese wagyu beef. During wagyu week at Katana, taste different cuts of the prized meat as it’s incorporated into sashimi, burgers, tartare, tacos, and more. Individual dishes are $12 to $48; a tasting of three cuts (New York, rib-eye, filet mignon) is $90. More information.

The Search for L.A.’s Signature Cocktail
Calling all cocktail connoisseurs: The California Artisanal Distillers Guild and downtown’s Greenbar Craft Distillery summon L.A. residents 21 and over to send in their recipes for cocktails inspired by the city. A group of local mixologists and bartenders will pick the winners next month. More information.

Downtown L.A. Walking Food Tour — 3/9
Pedestrians embark on get a three-hour tour of some of downtown’s most striking art deco buildings and sample food at six locations, including Soi 7, Sarita’s Pupuseria, and Horse Thief BBQ at Grand Central Market. The walk starts on Olive Street across from Pershing Square. Tickets are $60 per person and must be purchased in advance. More information.
