ColLAboration Announces July Summer Beer Gardens

Is it too soon to call 2011 the summer of L.A. craft beer? We think not, given the recently announced line-up of July dates for the pop-up beer garden ColLAboration, whose June 4th event in Hollywood hosted thousands of eager beer fans. Taking over the Sunset Strip from noon to 9 p.m. on July 9, 16, and 23, two-dozen local brewers will be pouring a rotating selection of rare beers. Admission to the event comes in the form of a $10 ColLAboration pint glass, which you can fill as often as you like with beers priced between $5 and $6 each. Founded this past April, ColLAboration is comprised of four award-winning members from L.A.’s burgeoning craft beer industry: Ryan Sweeney of Verdugo Bar and the Surly Goat, Brian Lenzo of Blue Palms Brewhouse, Clay Harding of 38 Degrees, and Tony Yanow of Tony’s Darts Away and the soon-to-open Mohawk Bend. These four gentleme have pooled their malty knowledge together for the benefit of suds-loving Angelenos. For more information or to buy a membership glass in advance, visit
