Cassell’s Hamburgers at Koreatown’s Hotel Normandie is a place where prices usually start at $8.99 for a 1/3-pound burger. But next Friday, May 8, chef Christian Page will serve burgers for 99 cents. The promotion, part of a series of deals the restaurant is offering for National Burger Month in May, starts at 11 a.m. and goes until Cassell’s runs out of patties. So you’ll probably want to come early for lunch.
Cassell’s is also extending its happy hour to the weekends for the month of May, which means you can get a burger or a sandwich with a canned beer (Olympia or PBR) for $9 and cocktails for $6 every day from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Finally, on May 28, National Hamburger Day, Cassell’s will have its Total Steer Grind, a whole-animal extravaganza where about 500 pounds of meat will be used for burgers (including cheese-stuffed Juicy Lucys), beef fat fries, and Bloody Marys with bone broth.
