Beer for Chicks at Golden Road

Oh yes it’s “Ladies Flight,” and the feeling’s right today at Golden Road Brewing. In celebration of March 8, National Women’s Day (Um, did you know that? Because we didn’t, and the royal “we” is a she), the Atwater Village brewery is releasing its first collaborative beer called Valentin. Brewed on Valentine’s Day, the beer is a 6.5% ABV French Saison made with blood oranges in partnership with Redlands’ Hangar 24 brewery.

From 12 to 2 p.m. today at the pub, the ladies of Golden Road—including President Meg Gill, Beer Champion Paige Reilly and “Social Superstar” Cambria Griffith—will be on hand to chat with guests about all things beer. In addition, a “Lady Flight” featuring the Golden Road Hefeweizen, Point the Way IPA, the new Valentin, and Vinaceous Old Ale from Hangar 24 will be available for $9 until 11 p.m. Two bucks from each flight will be donated to Planned Parenthood. Cheers ladies!
