September Food Events: Angel City’s Oktoberfest, A New Sriracha Festival, and an Umami Party

Umami Burger Presents: Savor Summer Music & Arts Series, 9/18
Is there a busier entrepreneur in Los Angeles than Adam Fleischman? In addition to opening ChocoChicken and Barberia Ristorante, the man still has time to throw his annual Savor Summer party at Space 15 Twenty on Cahuenga Blvd. Come for a night of art and music with DJ Donuts and artists Septerhead, Ginoflo, Phobik, and Morley. The show is free, but bring cash for drinks and burgers.

The 1st Annual San Diego Sriracha Festival, 9/20
A joint effort from The Sriracha Cookbook and Food GPS debuts at the historic Liberty Station. For the hot sauce obsessed, you’re in luck. A host of restaurants are offering their unique spins on dishes that feature the fiery chile pepper sauce: powdered Sriracha-crusted ono, Sriracha beer cheese, Sriracha infused Arrogant Bastard Ale brisket. But don’t worry about the heatL craft beer from Stone and Iron Fist will be on site. Tickets are only available for people 21+. More ticket info here.

Gourmetzia, 9/20-21
A brand new gourmet food and beverage show is taking place at the L.A. Convention Center. Attendees will be able to taste and purchase thousands of products–including chocolate, cheese, coffee, and baked good–directly from producers and manufacturers hailing from all parts of the country. Oktoberfest at Angel City Brewery, 9/21
To celebrate Germany’s world-famous beer-drinking festival, head to Downtown for a day of music, games, and beer at Angel City Brewery’s Public House. Get your drink on with sausages, apple strudel, and live polka music. Tours of the brewery will also be available from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Event begins at noon and ends at 10 p.m.
