Yes. We’re absolutely there. Bay Area bread darling Manresa Bread (the bakery that sprang from three-Michelin star Manresa) is hitting L.A. with two special bready/foodie extravaganzas at the end of the month. And if you don’t know what the fuss is all about you’re going to want to find out.
Manresa Bread head baker Avery Ruzicka (pumpernickel, chocolate croissants, prosciutto and kale pesto croissants!) is bringing her doughy a-game to L.A. starting February 25 in collaboration with Esters Wine Shop & Bar Chef Jeremy Fox. From 9 a.m.—1 p.m. the pair will be offering a selection of pastry, sandwiches, bread, and toast on a special menu created for the occasion (one sneak peek: A Finocchiona Sandwich and Toast with local bananas and Solstice Canyon almond butter).
Ruzickas next stop on the magical-not-a-mystery-anymore-tour is at Chef Akira Akuto and Nick Montgomery’s NOTO at the Baroo restaurant space. A special menu will ensue.
