Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is Headed to the Happiest Place on Earth

Photo ops at Disneyland > photo ops on Hollywood Boulevard

L.A. can officially lay claims on another New York turncoat.

Spider-Man is abandoning the Big Apple for sunny Los Angeles—more specifically for sunny Anaheim, as he’ll be posted up at Disneyland. During the same D23 Expo that brought us the glorious news of new Star Wars Lands in Orlando and L.A. as well as a Star Wars Launch Bay on the bottom floor of the Tomorrowland Expo Center (set to open November 16), the House of Mouse also hinted at new Marvel attractions. Now /Film is reporting that the park will open a Marvel Super Hero HQ on the second level of the Expo Center, opening this fall.

Spidey is being lauded as one of the main attractions, with Disney saying he’ll have a “heroic new character greeting location where you can snap a photo, grab an autograph or just thank him for keeping us safe from the likes of Doctor Octopus and the Green Goblin!” Up until now the character has only appeared at Disneyland Paris—which, if there is any sort of traffic on the 405/91/105/5, might be the shorter trip. Seeing as Disney is in the business of making dreams come true, visitors will also be able to chat up Thor and virtually dress themselves in Iron Man’s suit.

Check out the photo Disney has released of the Spidey you’ll find at the meet-and-greet.
